Happy first birthday, Arden!

Yesterday we had a little birthday picnic for the big one year old!

The day was not without event, though, as Arden woke up from her nap Friday afternoon running fever, which led us to the ER Saturday morning to find her with an ear infection. Poor baby girl! She is a miserable little thing!

We also arrived at the park to find another party in our pavilion! BOO!!! Evan and his dad were the ones to discover it, and if you know them at all, you know they don't like confrontation and will avoid it at all costs. I seriously thought Evan might give our party place away!!! Thankfully, we had paid proof and a sign to prove the pavilion was ours, and they did not. It did cost us a couple of bags of charcoal, though, as they didn't want to move since they had already started the grill. Little bit of a stressful way to start the par-tay!

We celebrated with hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad on a stick, chips, and fabulous cupcakes decorated by my very talented friend Christie. The adults visited, the kids played on the playground, and we all just had a big-ole time. Even though Arden didn't feel well, she partied hard and ate her cupcake like a champ! Such a sweet day celebrating our sweet and precious baby girl!!!

Yes - - pasta salad on a stick - - - you can't say that and not post a picture! I can't believe she's already one. Happy Birthday Arden!

Girls!! Ha! I didn't get many food/decor pictures at all! It was a little stressful in the baginning, then, I let my cousin have control of my camera. Tortellini, cucumber, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes mixed w/Italian dressing on kabob skewers. Wanted all the foods to be finger foods. These were perfect!
