This Easter weekend will be characterized by:
*A family movie night on Friday...one where I had my heart set on us watching The Muppets, only to have Evan and Kendall come back from the Red Box with Puss in Boots. I loved the Muppets as a kid and was entirely too excited to watch it with Kendall. Let down. HA. No, really, Puss in Boots was okay.
:)
*Taking the girls to an egg hunt in Hot Springs on Saturday morning. What fun, and Kendall racked up on the eggs and candy!!! She LOVED it. Arden also stole the heart of the newspaper photographer and made her way into the Sentinel-Record on Sunday. Color picture and all!!!
*Running WITH Evan on Saturday. He smoked me through this crazy trail in the woods at the park, even with busting his tail going downhill. So much fun! It feels good to exercise!
*Being invited over for dinner by our neighbor's in-laws, and egg hunting AGAIN. Fun times outside.
*Making the girls' Easter outfits with a lot of help!!! They turned out so sweet!
*Sunrise service at church this morning. Evan gave the devotional and did such a fabulous job. I love how passionate Evan is when he speaks of the cross. Arden screamed his name the whole time. "Da-DEE! Da-DEE!"
*Breakfast at the Lodge.
*Looking over during the Easter cantata at church and seeing Kendall dancing in the pew and Evan playing air drums. We were sitting on the second row!! HILARIOUS!!!
*Dying eggs with Kendall. Took about 3 minutes tops, but she loved it.
*Grilling out with our neighbors tonight. Really fun.
*Getting Kendall a spinner toothbrush in her Easter basket, the kind you can decorate, then having her tell me she wished a pair of TOMS would have been in her Easter basket. WHAT?! How does she know about TOMS? And, wasn't this spinner toothbrush the one she's been asking me about for weeks?

*Water gun fights. Two of them, to be exact. Too funny, even with Dollar Tree water guns!
*Singing Matt Maher's Christ is Risen over and over again. We ALL love this song. Nothing better than hearing Kendall belt out the "Oh, death! Where is your sting?" part. I'm sure this song will keep playing in our house for many days to come!
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
