First Family Vacation!

What a wonderful week we had on our FIRST EVER family vacation! 

For the years we lived in Louisville, vacation time was spent traveling home to see family. I'm not complaining about that, but we were super excited to actually get away this year. This was the girls' first time to ever visit the beach, AND mine and Evan's first time to visit the beach as a couple. We had such a wonderful week! 

We stayed at Caribe in Gulf Shores and it was absolutely perfect. One of the other perks of the week was splitting a condo with some of our dear friends from Louisville, Ryan and Emily. They have two children that are pretty close to the girls' ages, so all the kids had about as much fun as the adults! (Except for maybe Perry, who was the only little boy! Poor guy!) Our condo had a couple of amazing pools with water slides that ended up being the kids' favorite thing to do during the week. We were right across from the beach, so we spent some time there as well. 

We went on a dolphin cruise with the kids (that was fun, but blazing hot!), each couple got a date night, the guys went golfing one day and the girls got a night at the outlet malls and a morning kid-free by the pool. We all came back sun-kissed and relaxed! Truly a perfect vacation! So very thankful we were able to go!
