We celebrated Arden's SECOND birthday with a fun-filled family day to the zoo!
We actually celebrated the day before her actual birthday. We ended up having some other things going on her actual birthday (Evan fished in a fundraiser tournament and Kendall was invited to another party), plus we figured the zoo would be less crowded on a weekday than a school day. The weather ended up being PERFECT zoo weather and it was such a great day!
We ate pancakes for breakfast, then let Arden open up her presents.
We had lots of fun at the zoo. So funny--Kendall asked if either Evan or I had been to that zoo before, and we both told her yes. As Evan and I were talking about things we remembered from our zoo trips, we both remembered the same things--peacocks walking around and taking elephant and camel rides. We saw none of that on Friday, but it was still so much fun!
I didn't get any pictures, but we went to All Aboard to eat dinner. The girls loved watching the trains, and Evan and I jumped almost every time the food was delivered. :)
We had to pick up Arden's birthday cake before we went to the zoo, so we ran it over to Aunt Judy and Uncle's house so it didn't melt in the car. They were pulling in just as we were leaving, so we decided to share the cake with them instead of taking it home just for us. Such a sweet little singing and candle-blowing! Arden knew exactly what to do! And, I don't think there is any kid who loves food more than she does--especially sweets. Her face just says it all when she is eating, and it's the cutest thing ever!
We woke up the next morning and finished off the cake for breakfast! It was so yummy!
