a visitor

We were super excited to have PawPaw come visit last week! What a fun time we all had!

Kendall was especially excited to have him here; they bonded quite a bit. Evan put his dad to work on a project in our basement (building a closet that creates an actual bedroom) and Kendall was pretty content to just play around him while he worked. I think Evan helped (a little) with the project, but also managed to get some school work done and keep his dad entertained with football and funny You Tube videos. While there is still much to be done in our basement, the closet looks great and we're thankful to have one more project complete in our house!

On Friday while Evan was working, PawPaw took a break from the project, and joined Kendall and I at the zoo. It was SUCH an enjoyable day! We were pretty leisurely--we had a picnic lunch, let Kendall play on the playground, and saw all the animals. Our favorite part of the day was seeing the lions. When we walked over to them, all three were up on top of the rock, roaring as loud as they could! It was awesome! After the zoo, PawPaw treated us to ice cream at Dairy Queen. (Which, by the way, is mine and PawPaw's favorite thing to do together...we have a common love of ice cream, especially the Blizzard. You can't beat it!)

Kendall's best flamingo!

Checking out the hippo!

You better believe she ate the WHOLE thing!

Thanks, PawPaw, for SUCH a great week. Come back soon and bring Nana with you next time! :)
