What a wonderful week we've had! Evan's parents arrived safely last Saturday and left around 7:30 this morning. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with them, and Kendall is on the road to recovery, being that she is on her second nap for the day and it's barely 1:00 p.m. We are so glad Barry and Sheila were able to come and visit for the week.
We had a very full week, as you can see from the pictures. We did a lot of hanging around the house and playing, but we also got out and about a little bit. My friend Emily suggested visiting Claudia Sander's restaurant, which is about a 30 minute drive from Louisville, but it was well worth it. (You can go to the link to read the history.) The food was fantastic, especially the chicken and dumplings and corn pudding. Evan and his dad did some work around our house- finishing the trim work in the bathroom, putting the second coat of paint in the kitchen and hooking up our ice maker. They were also able to drive to Bowling Green on Wednesday and tour the Corvette Museum while Sheila, Kendall, and I did a little shopping.
We spent Thanksgiving day with the B. family. We were so thankful they invited all of us to join them for a day of wonderful food, relaxation, games, and great conversation. Even Evan's dad commented over and over in the car about what a great, low stress Thanksgiving it was. This family is truly gifted with hospitality and just have a way of making EVERYONE feel comfortable and welcome. I just love them!
Evan was glad to enjoy the Razorback game with his dad, and we were all so happy for the win. What a way to go out, Casey Dick!!! Evan, Barry, and I were sitting in the living room when the game tied up and the three of us jumped and screamed so loudly that we scared Kendall to tears, and she was in the other room!
After the victory, we headed downtown to the Light Up Louisville festival. Kendall wasn't so keen on the whole thing, being that it was super crowded, loud, a little chilly, AND she had to sit in her stroller for about 30 minutes before the lights came on. However, the atmosphere was really spirited and I was glad we were able to see the show. We ended our night out with a stop at DQ with ice cream for all!!!
Such a fun week! Thanks, Barry and Sheila for coming to visit! We love you!

I'm so glad you had a great time with them. I know they will be full of stories and pictures of their precious baby girl when they get home.
